ALT.SF4M Clean up Forum for I-Con! • s******j@**.com 26/03/1996 00:00:000 UTC It's traditional for I-Con guests to visit the Forum and sign their books during the weekend. Is the place in decent shape? Have the books written by notable guests been located and dusted off? Have any infestations of Magic(r) players been removed and their seats cleansed? People actually come in to clean in the morning (NON shiftpeople!) and less people than seemingly ever leave crap around. Now, Magic players are a whole different story. I cannot possibly forecast the chaos that this true evil will wreak. -JC • s******j@**.com 29/03/1996 00:00:000 UTC In article <4jh5en$***@a***.**.******b.edu>, John D Cholewa wrote: >Actually, surprisingly, the Forum is at an all-time high for cleanliness >(at least, for this Forum). It is literally one of the largest SF collections in the world. As for Magic card players being slobs, this is no surprise. Addicts of any sort tend to neglect themselves and their surroundings. Fortunatley, a cure for MtG may be near. Running a current through the ludensic lobe of the brain reduces the craving to play MtG by 90% in most addicts. Unfortunately, they also become bookkeepers. Other therapies include substitution of other games (such as "The Great Dalmuti" at first, then the "classic" version of "Illuminati," and eventually antique SPI wargames and "Diplomacy") and swift kicks in the groin whenever they start to play. --Stefan -- +-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-+ ***@***.com ~ s*****s@a*****.***u.edu ~ s******j@**.com http://www.ini.cmu.edu/~sjones/
