ALT.SF4M Hello Everybody! • j********o@***.com 26/05/1996 00:00:000 UTC Hello! Greetings from Sheboygan - I am (for the moment) on AOL, with a screen name of JohnGorno (I'm not sure what the deal is header-wise, yet...), so expect a few experimental postings for now. Not a whole lot new with me...continuing my self-education, computer-wise; screwing around with GR (it turns out to be another subject that is so built up in the explanation as to make the simple facts inpenetrable, and I'm not just bs'ing). Still working on 21C. Finally over my Post-Forever Knight depression: what a great episode. Tragic but great. Poor Nat: he never even told her he loved her. My brother, equally bummed, thinks she's a lousy actress, but I think she nicely does the most demanding character: Natalie has a consistent, complex personality, with a surface layer of cheer over a thin strata of professionalism, over a chasm of despair. And cute, too. Anyway, this message is just a test, mostly. Our little newsgroup seems a little sleepy... and the Web site kind of stinks. I am wondering if I can use all these free offers from AOL, etc., sequentially, so I don't have to pay anything for the next few months (they probably have some system to prevent this, but I could quit (How Do I do this?), then alternate these with other providers' offers). Also wondering if I can use the offers sent to my Mom (I suspect they don't keep track of or care about who uses an offer). Ok, so fine. Gorno (J********o@***.com) -Bitter? You bet. AROOO! MERDE! MON DIEU!! (SHIT! JE-SUS!!) P.S. - Those bastards cancelled SPACE: I _will_ kill them! (Forumites probably prefer Wimp Trek, since it's not so scary...) Risking the ship to SAVE a space ameoba! They really try to invert the exploration philosophy of the real show. • s******j@**.com 26/05/1996 00:00:000 UTC In article <4oag0q$***@f******-****.********n.ca>, Farrell McGovern wrote: >JohnGorno (j********o@***.com) writes:   >> P.S. - Those bastards cancelled SPACE: I _will_ kill them! I am quite happy it is dead. The only thing SAaB had going for it is/was some good dramatic writing. It kept my interest for a few episodes, which is saying a lot. But everything Farrel said is true, so good riddance, hahaha! READ A BOOK! Not a great actress, but 'lousy' is a bit strong. Did you get the last couple of episodes on tape? As I mentioned, I lost track of 'Nick' over the last several weeks. >And cute, too. I'd buy THAT for a dollar! > Anyway, this message is just a test, mostly. Our little newsgroup seems >a little sleepy... and the Web site kind of stinks. Activity here comes and goes...now that school's out I expect activity will drop down a bit. The Web CAN stink, especially if you have a slow modem (what speed are you using?). But sometimes it's really neat too (i.e. I downloaded an HST image of the comet only hours after it was taken). > P.S. - Those bastards cancelled SPACE: I _will_ kill them! SPACE often failed to hold my attention, though they _did_ have very well done aliens (scary!). --Doc
