  Wizards First Rule <----- Ack!

     After being bored out of my skull with Diamond Age, I decided to switch

     over to fantasy. Wizards First Rule turned out to be a promising fantasy

     book. A wee bit on the strange side but it was alright. However 3/4 of

     the way through, it turns into a nasty S&M story which involved blood
     and

     guts and hours of torture. { Hmmmm, that sounds like reading Diamond
     Age.}

     It was almost as disturbing as the "John Convenant" series with Lord
     Bane

     and the Urviles. I would say it came close to the disgusting blood magic

     in the 2nd Lord Bane series.

     Are there any *excellent* New Science Fiction or Fantasy out there?
