ALT.SF4M Sting Song • j********o@***.com 19/10/1996 00:00:000 UTC Two thoughts about the recent Sting song which goes "I'm so happy, that I can't stop crying." Now, Der Stingle is a clever guy, and I wonder whether he's hiding a double meaning. The obvious reading (as just rendered) is that the narrator is crying as a result of his great happiness, but, if we, in effect, remove the comma, the connotation is that despite his great sadness, he is in some sense happy because he still has the capacity to feel (even sorrow) after his divorce, etc.. Also, to me, there is a strong resemblence in the tune to the Who's "Going Mobile." Gorno
