ALT.SF4M Biography: fact or fiction? • m*******e@a****.***u.edu 23/11/1996 00:00:000 UTC I was looking through the large "new releases" section at my local Barnes & Noble (no, not the "fish heads" guys) bookstore recently when I observed that they have a fiction section, a nonfiction section, and a biography section. This seems to imply that biographies lie somewhere between fact and fiction. Given the high cost of theater tickets, it seems far more cost effective to buy books rather than see films. For the price of a ticket you can buy two books and get several hours of pleasure rather than 90 minutes or so, and most likely enjoy far better stories by people who actually know how to write. So I'm seriously considering not bothering with the new Trek film, at least until I hear from other people just how badly it sucks, and saving my money for superior entertainment. --- Brian "whatever happened to Stanley Kubrick?"
