ALT.SF4M Star Wars • Kevin D. Conod 18/02/1997 00:00:000 UTC Yep, I finally got to see the 'special edition' of Star Wars this weekend. It was very good, the ending still had me on the edge of my seat even though I've seen it several times. Most of the new special effects were pretty good. Most of the new scenes were fairly seamless (except a scene in the bar at Mos Eisley (sp?), the Jabba scene, and some of the Death Star sequences). Is it me or did they change the bar scene so that Greedo fires first? I could swear I heard and saw two blaster shots. And Gorno's right about the light saber scenes, they could've done some touching up....I still saw one scene where Obi Wan seems to be holding just a glass tube! "Empire" comes out this weekend doesn't it? --Doc -- Kevin k*****d@e******y.net • s******j@**.com 19/02/1997 00:00:000 UTC On 18 Feb 1997 00:00:42 GMT, Kevin D. In the original Lan shoots Greedo under the table after Greedo makes it clear that he plans on bringing in Han dead rather than alive. It WAS FUNNY damnit! In the touched up version, Greedo fires first, misses, and get shot in return. >And Gorno's right >about the light saber scenes, they could've done some touching up....I >still saw one scene where Obi Wan seems to be holding just a glass tube!
