  Michio Kaku for next year?

     Physicist Michio Kaku (m****u@***.com) gave an excellent talk to my

     local astronomy club last week. He is the co-author of string theory

     and has written a book on hyperspace. He touches on a number of science

     fiction topics in his talk and discusses Types I, II, and III
     civilizations

     among other things. He is a good, animated speaker. I think that he

     would appeal to most of the people who attend I-Con. We should consider

     inviting him to a future con.

     Dr. Kaku has a radio show Wednesday nights on WBAI in New Jersey. He
     tapes

     on Monday night and you can call in and have him answer your questions
     as

     part of his show. He'd welcome a break from UFO nuts.

         Good idea - I missed his talk, but I've heard good things about him
         from a

         couple of people.
