ALT.SF4M Scifi writers on doofy show • j********o@***.com 06/04/1997 00:00:000 UTC I happened by "Strange Universe" one night and they had several SF writers commenting on cloning. There was Brin (who looked considerably older than I'd figured he was - but that ICON was a long time ago now, I guess), Niven, and Octavia Butler (there might have been others). They all came off as science fiction dweebs, although Niven had the most intelligent observations. Brin threw in some goofy liberal/intellectualisms, and Butler wandered off into talking about Frankenstein and feminism, or some other psycho-crap. Gorno "I don't know where I am, but I know I don't like it: Open my mouth and out pops something spiteful. Words are so cheap, but they can turn out expensive; Words, like convictions, can turn into a sentence."
