ALT.SF4M newsgroup name • Jennifer Adams 02/06/1997 00:00:000 UTC Actually... I take it back. All of the Alt.* have sex crap in them. Even alt.westley.die.die.die and that isn't being mistaken as a sex group. The only way we could actually cut back on the sex SPAM would be to switch to rec.sf4m ... though if we switched to rec.arts.sf.sf4m we'd probably get more readers due to the other sf newsgroups already in that area. What do you think???? Jennifer • John Cholewa 04/06/1997 00:00:000 UTC Jennifer Adams wrote: > Actually... I take it back. The only problem, and it minor, is that we can't kill the old newsgroup (can we?). Hmmm...it probably would be better to choose rec.arts.sf.sf4m (or rec.arts.sf.forum, perhaps?), just to make sure that people reading the "rec.sf4m" don't think the same thing they've been thinking all along ("single female for male"). Oh, people: There's a Forum meeting tomorrow, Wednesday the 4th. The Forum has a tar/asbestos floor now, so TV Night may be difficult to experience (I'll bring in tapes, anyway). Lessee...if anyone's interested, I grabbed the Alien Resurrection script off the web somewhere (although the director has a reputation of ignoring the script when making a movie), and I'll bring it into the Forum tomorrow. Interesting news: Patrick Stewart has signed on to play in Star Trek 9 for a price of twelve million dollars. The film, rumored to be directed by STFC's Jonathan Frakes. Some prominent fans on the WWW have analyzed Berman's comments and see a possible appearance of Lore (information on who may play this character does not yet exist, but...DUH!). That's all. I just wanted to spew useless information for a bit. Hey, wasn't the Forum rock painting slated for tomorrow? -JC ("Please do not see Batman and Robin -- I promise to you it will suck most amazingly") PS: I just recently upgraded my news client.
