ALT.SF4M New B5 • p*******x@n***.****i.com 22/01/1998 00:00:000 UTC So who saw the new episode last night on TNT? Comments? Critiques? I have to say, I didn't care for the ending...it required to many minor leaps of faith. The captain (what WAS her name again) has potential, but she's an awful lot like Ivanova was. And yes, Gorno, we know you hated it. -- 73 de Dave Weingart KA2ESK, ex KB2CWF "Can you find the Valium? mailto:p*******x@****.com Can you bring it soon? mailto:p*******x@e******.*********n.edu Lost Johnny's out there http://www.liii.com/~phydeaux Baying at the Moon" -- Hawkwind • b********r@p*******e.com 22/01/1998 00:00:000 UTC p*******x@n***.****i.com (The Person Your Mother Warned You About) wrote: >So who saw the new episode last night on TNT? I was disappointed in "No Compromises." It did serve to introduce the new Captain (Elizabeth Lockley), although we still don't know much about her. I found it hard to believe that neither Sheridan (who specifically asked for her) nor Garibaldi (who is supposed to be Sheridan's intelligence officer) knows which side she was on in the war. Surely this little bit of information would have been relevant and they would have found it out before they selected her! (I'm not saying that if she was on the "wrong" side they wouldn't have selected her, just that they would have had to take it into account and the REASONS why she was on the side she was on.) I miss Ivanova. (I don't think Lockley is ENOUGH like Ivanova for my taste.) I think JMS was trying too hard to set up for the rest of the season (there are a LOT of changes, and he tried to deal with all of them at once!). The next episode (where Londo has a heart attack -- but, hey, he has two hearts, so maybe it's not as serious for a Centauri) looks promising. I guess I assumed he turned it off because it was too annoying. Perrianne Lurie BucCONeer, the 56-th World Science Fiction Convention August 5-9, 1998, Baltimore, Maryland, USA P.O.
