ALT.SF4M B5 - 2/18/97 • j********o@***.com 21/02/1998 00:00:000 UTC My repetitive complaints about B5 have become tiresome even to me, but I can't resist saying once again: another lame episode of B5! As they put it on Dynaman!: "They say that bullies are cowards, so let's scare him - BOO!" The Rangers are _really_ scary. Here we have a band of fanatical warrior-monks, sworn to serve and die for Sheridan, with the apparently legitimized belief that they can do anything they want to advance the cause. How long before they start assasinating his political rivals? "We die for the one! Allah Akbar!" SPOILERS: Alternate ending: The wounded Ranger defeats the bully, they congratulate themselves, and invite Zach to collect the bad guy: "Ok, so where is he?" We then see the relatively unharmed thug slipping away in the shadows - he makes his way to a safe hideout and his other (uncaptured) goons, where (proudly showing off his stolen 'pipe') he announces "There are two morals to this story, blokes... one: sometimes you gotta take a fall; and two: never leave a Ranger alive." Alternate ending 2: The senior Rangers have their little chat at the end, and this time the warrior says to the chief instructor: "Strange how slow and tired that 'bully' seemed by the end of the fight... almost as if he been... drugged? Perhaps by someone with a concealed palm-injector like... _that_?" "We're both old men, my friend - we know that how you fight doesn't matter, only that you win. Let the young one think he won by his own 'virtue.' He'll be more useful that way!" Gorno
