ALT.SF4M Amusements 2/26/98 • j********o@***.com 28/02/1998 00:00:000 UTC Not a bad B5 - one complaint is that they've developed the bad habit of showing something start to explode, then cutting to commercial and only returning in the aftermath. They did that twice this week. Not very exciting. Another problem is that they should use a different writer for each character: the present writers write a rather distinctive speech pattern, which they have multiple characters speak! Based on a written quote, it would usually be very hard to say whether the speaker was Sheridan, Garibaldi, Lockely, or Joe Strazinsky! They should also have a station rule: only one character can be flippant in any given scene! As for J'Kar going to the Centauri Imperial Court, wasn't he there just a year or two ago? I don't believe he has very fond memories of the place! Gorno Just watched "Day of the Dove" - although turning phasers into swords was silly and extravagent, it would be a whole lot harder for the "entity" to regenerate one of it's pawns after a good phaser hit than a sword wound! "A thousand lifetimes at each others' throat! On and on, while somewhere, some 'thing' laughs, and starts it all over again..." "Kirk... go back to the part about 'a thousand lifetimes'..." I'd like to see more of that creature (on New Trek). • p*******x@n***.****i.com 02/03/1998 00:00:000 UTC JohnGorno (j********o@***.com) somehow managed to write: : Not a bad B5 - one complaint is that they've developed the bad habit of showing I don't think I *ever* thought to see Gorno say this!!! ;) : As for J'Kar going to the Centauri Imperial Court, wasn't he there just a year : Which is why he finds it so amusing, of course... -- 73 de Dave Weingart KA2ESK, ex KB2CWF "Can you find the Valium? mailto:p*******x@****.com Can you bring it soon? mailto:p*******x@e******.*********n.edu Lost Johnny's out there http://www.liii.com/~phydeaux Baying at the Moon" -- Hawkwind
