Lost in Space request and sf4m news brief • Jennifer Adams 23/03/1998 00:00:000 UTC The Science Fiction Forum wants to run a "Lost in Space" Marathon on Friday the 3rd - the day that the movie will be released. The club itself does not currently own the series, so we are asking out into the great internet void for assistance. Options: Can someone lend us the series? We can either drop it back off or mail it back. or Can someone donate all or parts of the series to the Forum? We will do a group movie run after the marathon... details to follow. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS WEEK The Science Fiction Forum and F.O.C.U.S. present two days to honor Women's History Month! I have to organize the people into groups of 6... you might want to check out who is going and let me know you want to be with (or definately don't want to be stuck on a boat with). These are the people so far attending: Grace, Skip, Wendy, LARP Brian, The Jim, Victor, Nicki, Noel, Nicholle, Laura, Sammi, Brynn, Garick, Cecilia, Leon, Kerry, Michael and brother, Turtle, Leah, Andrew, Rob, and Beatnik. WHAT TO BRING: old sneakers - bathing suit or shorts - change of clothes and shoes - eyeglass straps - wool hat, sweater, socks, gloves - light windbreaker (no hood) - Driver's licence and college ID for wet suit rental - baged lunch WHAT NOT TO BRING: alcohol/drugs - ice chest - rain suits/panchos - bare feet sandels or flip flops - cotton clothing - expensive camera - jewerly - wallet, valubles - pets Clothing will be worn UNDER the wet suits that we will rent. You will want to wear clothing that wicks the moisture away from your skin - cotton holds it in. If you have questions, e-mail me at j*****s@**.net ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The answer to last time's great question from the void produced overwhelming responces - all correct I might add. He became a obnoxious born-again and hung around the Forum telling everybody they'd be in real trouble come 1994, when Dr. Gene Scott had predicted the second coming. He wasn't a Lost in Space _fan_, he was a Lost in Space neurotic; he related to the world through the show. Which is pretty sad. -- +-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-+ SeJ@ay-oh-el-dot-com ~ stefanj@eye-oh-dot-com http://www.io.com/~stefanj/ CHARGES APPLIED FOR UNSOLICITED COMMERCIAL EMAIL! • Thomas C. And he was definitely not THIS Tom Wilson! Tom Wilson Forumite from 1978 until the end of time. Hope everyone has a good time at ICON - I'm so ensnared by mundanity (if you can call designing satellite transmitting GPS locator buoys mundane) that I haven't even tried to grub a comp ticket.
