     What a great movie! Any of you younger Forumites who haven't seen it
     should do

     so pronto. Perhaps the most jaded young piercelings might laugh at it,
     but it

     is one genuinely scary movie. Should be shown last, late at night,
     before that

     long (ideally, cold) walk back to the dorm...

         Agreed. A fine movie, may be over the heads of fans raised on

         Freddie/Jason/Leatherface sequels & rip-offs, but worth the
         intellectual

         investment, as are all the Quatermass films.

              That was a good one. Scared the crap out of my when I saw it on

              late night TV many years ago.

              Other "obscure" movies worth looking into:

              * Forbidden Planet. Smarter than anything for a long time.

              * Kubrick's experimental nine-hour long adaption of _Last and
              First

              Men_. Very hard to find.

                   I'd hate to think that Forbidden Planet is considered an
                   obscure movie.

                   Silent Running

                   Collossus: The Forbin Project
