  Picnic this Friday

     Hi everyone! For those in the NY area, I would like to remind you that
     there

     is a picnic at the Sunken Meadow State Park tomorrow, Friday, 5/15/98.

     Because some people are actually graduating - congratulations - or
     transfering

     to other schools, this may be your last opportunity to say good bye to
     one

     another - at least til everyone comes back for the 30th Anniversary.

     Finals are still happening tommorow, so people will not all be arriving
     at the

     same time. If you need a ride to the park, keep calling the forum to see
     if

     someone can give you a lift. If no one is there at 2, just call back at
     3.

     People driving, if you can give a call to the Forum first to see if
     anyone

     needs a lift, that would be cool. The picnic officially starts at 11:30
     a.m.,

     but some people do not plan on being there till 1, 4, and 6 p.m. Come

     whenever!

     The actual site will be in field #4.

     When Leah and I checked the place out weds. there was NO ONE there, so
     it

     proabably won't be hard to find us... but just in case:

     turn into field #4, go all the way to the parking lot's far side... ,
     walk up

     the paved path that continues where the road left off. A bit up the
     path, it

     branches to the left... we will be directly opposite that branch. The
     reason

     we chose this spot is because the branch in the path leads to a nice
     walkway/

     bridge that goes over some water, and on the other side of that bridge
     is a

     pretty clear cut to the beach and boardwalk.

     It's supposed to be a sunny and warm day. Bring games, food, softball

     stuff... whatever. I'm bringing a fishing pole myself, I plan on fishing
     off

     of that bridge. Grills are there. Oh, don't forget you can invite people

     that aren't in the Forum too.

     p.s. - The Sunken Meadow State park is at the north end of the Sunken
     Meadow

     Parkway. More detailed directions are in Log.
