  Sliders -- spoilers

     I'm not a big "Sliders" fan, but I was watching the premier of the first
     two

     episodes last night.

     The first was halfway decent. Quinn & Maggie finally make it back to
     Earth,

     but it's been overrun by the CroMags. Wade and Rembrandt have been
     rotting

     in a CroMag prison for three months. They go in to resuce them, find

     Rembrandt, but Wade's been shipped off to a point unknown on a parallel

     Earth. Quinn gets captured and ends up in the same cell as his mom, who

     turns out is not his mother. His real parents are sliders who may have

     created a weapon to defeat the CroMags. So off go Quinn, Rembrandt and

     Maggie to find Wade, his parents, and the weapon to save Earth.

     The second episode slid right back into the crapper. Same old Sliders

     formula: arrive on planet, get captured, lose timer, inadvertently get

     saved by the rebels. Blah.

     Since I missed so many episodes.... my question is: what ever happened
     to

     the professor and where did the pick up this Maggie chick?

         Ah, I see. Yes, the Cromags have captured Quinn's Earth (Earth Prime
         as he

         calls it).

         who kills

         for immoratlity on an Earth destroyed by pulsars. Maggie was one of
         his

         officers.

         Question: Was the Earth the Cromags captured Quinn's Earth or a
         different

         Earth?
