ALT.SF4M Forumite party on Saturday! • -=JC=- 17/06/1998 00:00:000 UTC Hey...I originally announced that I was having a party of sorts to Brian Wrynn's maillist on the first of this month, but realized that there are several of you guys who I either know from the old days or have never met at all. Since, a week and a half after my original announcement, another party was set up, much closer to Stony Brook, I realize that I'm going to lose most of the people who were potentially coming. So, I figure that some of you might be farther to the West like I am. I'm over in Valley Stream, which is near the Nassau/Queens border. This thing is basically because I graduated from Stony Brook. There'll be munchies and other foodstuffs (though anyone who comes is welcome to bring anything, whether it be foodstuffs, music, or athletic implements. If you're interested in coming, it's this upcoming Saturday (the 20th). Southern State Parkway, exit 15 South, which is Corona Ave. Go and go and go until you pass a School (called Wheeler Ave.) on your left side. But continue to go straight and go and go and go. My house is on the right side, number 148. The closest cross street, which is farther south by several houses, is St. Marks. The closest major cross street is called Merrick Rd., but that's several blocks south of my home. Anyway, for anybody coming around, the place has a nice park connected to my backyard, separated by a fence, for anybody who wants to take a stroll. For any tech-heads...sorry, my computer is mostly non-upgraded and I won't get my cable modem for another week, but I can freely grouse about how my monitor is only 21". ;) Everybody's welcome! (well, Forumites, mainly). I ain't providing alcohol...you can bring some along if you'd like, but I don't want anybody sleeping over through Sunday, so keep it casual. Anybody who wants to pop by, it'll be nebulously in the afternoon. Figure, 2 or 3pm, it's okay to be late, but don't be too early (I won't wake up 'till noon, probably). -JC http://www.chiptech.com/jc PS: FYI, my real name is John
