     I would really have liked this, and they could even add it to the next
     edition

     of the book in one line, from Louis Wu to the dying Bram: "I'd already
     beaten

     you. That blood we drank? I added Boosterspice - keeps me alive, kills
     you."

     (He would probably have had to swap it from the human side of the
     dispenser to

     the Kzinti side, but that would have been easy enough.) We know that

     Boosterspice killed someone who had used the Ringworld longevity drug,
     which is

     derived from Tree-of-Life, the staple food of the Pak.
