Some very affecting scenes, a few surprises, and not as much New Age sap as the critics said. The end was disappointing, and reincarnation, an unpleasant concept to start with, doesn't really belong in a system with an afterlife. I wish the afterlife had been more systematic, as well as theologically involved, with less of a psycho-babble sefl-centrism. Heaven appears to be populated by retards content to amble about aimlessly, while Hell lacked organization and rationale. More Dante, less Bly, please. It does suggest some RPG potentialities... "The Devil's Advocate:" pretty good, although the end wasn't entirely satisfying. An interesting thought is that one can bridge the chartacter gap between the "Adversary" of the Bible (who is God's right-hand man but feels humanity is wicked and an irredeemable threat to Heaven) and the Devil of Christian mythology (who is God's adversary and man's corruptor) by suggesting that Satan has escalated his opposition to humankind into seeking to bring about *prematurely* the great conflict so as to ensure Man's defeat and Heaven's victory. Did anyone watch Mercy Point? Gorno
