ALT.SF4M Help support science fiction library • Beatnik 25/11/1998 00:00:000 UTC If you purchase books, cds or videos... now you can help support the Science Fiction Forum's library with every purchase you make. It's simple... there is a new link off of our website (www.sf4m.org) called "books". This is were we will place reviews that our members write, promote books that the officers and shift holders recommend and in general where the librarian will spew. The books that we review (whether positively or poorly), the books we recommend, etc. will have links to Amazon.com where they can be purchased. When you purchase a book that we have spotlighted... we, the Science Fiction Forum will get 15% of the sale price. The money will be put directly back into the support of the library. If you just want a cd, or something that we wouldn't be spotlighting, but amazon.com does sell... if you start at our website, click the amazon banner or search engine, then buy the thing... we get 5% of the sale value. So... what it comes down to is this: You would buy the stuff anyway. If you simply go through our website, you help support a not for profit organization that is is poor financial straights. We support the whole science fiction fandom community that can reach us by maintaining a large publically accessable science fiction/fantasy & horror library, and running regular movie/tv marathons on the Stony Brook campus. We preserve copies of pulps and books that are decades old. Thanks for your support. I know the science fiction community supports its own. I've added links both to your web page and the forum on my science fiction pages http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~cdijkgra/sf.htm.
