  a circa 1979-80 book about time travel

     The book leads of with a teacher using a 3-d projector which should not

     exist. He then travels forward in time via suspended animation only to

     find that while he slept away the years the trip could now be done

     instantaneously. he then discovers "the palace of immortality" I hope

     someone can point me in the right direction with TITLE or AUTHOR
