ALT.SF4M Sluggy Freelance • s******j@f****.**o.com 13/08/1999 00:00:000 UTC It's a comic strip. An enjoyably twisted one, about two quasi-adolescent web-site designers, their friends, and their homocidal pet rabbit and anthropophagous alien secretary and demons and vampires and all sorts of stuff. Sometimes crude, sometimes dopey sitcommish in a "FRIENDS" sort of way, but when they get going on the battle between Santa and his cyborg easter bunny and Bun-Bun the homocidal lop rabbit . . . cool. Read it. www.sluggy.com. They have the two or so years' worth of strips archived. I'm reading about a week's worth a day at work. I turned a friend from CMU onto it and he read the whole run in _two days_. (link on my home page) User Friendly didn't hold my interest long, although this may have more to do with my having reached the limits of the strips I can keep up with than its innate qualities. (I'm about ready to give up on www.goats.com, whose adolescent sillyness/coolness ratio has gotten too high. A strip has to be good to stay on my bookmarks list.) I just finished a Sluggy segment about "Muffin, the Vampire Baker," a plucky teen who kills vampires by cooking them. -- +-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-+ SeJ@ay-oh-el-dot-com ~ stefanj@eye-oh-dot-com http://www.io.com/~stefanj/ CHARGES APPLIED FOR UNSOLICITED COMMERCIAL EMAIL! • p*******x@****.com 13/08/1999 00:00:000 UTC One day in Teletubbyland, s******j@f****.**o.com (Stefan E.
