     Our cable package recently changed to include the cartoon network. The
     most

     interesting things to be found there are the promotions (including very,
     very,

     very strange music videos). An ad I saw recently featured an homage to
     the

     signature shot in "Blair Witch," in this case featuring a head shot of
     the

     dykey girl from Scooby Doo (eyes brimming with tears): "I think maybe
     this

     time we shouldn't have meddled. I'm so sorry we meddled..."

         A lot of imagination goes into those promotions. Often more than
         went into

         the Hanna-Barbarra schlock toons they show.

         Definitely check out Dexter's Lab. Not many cartoons get around to
         fist-

         fights between GI Joe and My Little Pony.
