ALT.SF4M Mild Amusement 10/20/99 • j********o@***.com 21/10/1999 00:00:000 UTC Our cable package recently changed to include the cartoon network. The most interesting things to be found there are the promotions (including very, very, very strange music videos). An ad I saw recently featured an homage to the signature shot in "Blair Witch," in this case featuring a head shot of the dykey girl from Scooby Doo (eyes brimming with tears): "I think maybe this time we shouldn't have meddled. I'm so sorry we meddled..." Gorno "Scooby, this one's real! Run, Scooby, RUN! It's REALLLLLLL..." • s******j@f****.**o.com 21/10/1999 00:00:000 UTC A lot of imagination goes into those promotions. Often more than went into the Hanna-Barbarra schlock toons they show. Definitely check out Dexter's Lab. Not many cartoons get around to fist- fights between GI Joe and My Little Pony. And Johnny Bravo (the parody of Green Eggs and Ham was brilliant). -- 73 de Dave Weingart KA2ESK Never set the cat on fire. mailto:p*******x@****.com You only will annoy it. http://www.liii.com/~phydeaux -- Frank Hayes
