     I just read that B5's Jerry Doyle has declared a run for Congress as a

     Republican in Sherman Oaks (he's the only declared GOP candidate so
     far). He's

     thinking about running for the U.S. Senate in 2003, he adds. It also
     says he's

     been a corporate jet pilot and investment banker.

     In unrelated news, "By George, look out - it's Yoko Ono, here to finish
     the

     job!"

     I was looking for Happy Millenium cards, but that darn Frank Black never
     seems

     to smile!

         I read this too. Sounds intriguing. It's important not to equate his

         celebrity status in fandom to his ability to be a Congressmen, but
         it's rather

         interesting. The fact that he's Republican makes it all so much
         better :-).

         Such a rare breed, the Hollywood Republican.
