I made myself feel young by going to Disney World/Epcot for the very first time. When you were born: The Internet was an obscure military research project. Slide rules and log tables were used by every engineer. Textbooks were typeset using hot lead. Bicycle tires had to be changed every few months. Gold was $35 per ounce. Microwave ovens were only seen on the Batman TV show. It looked like central planning was the Wave of the Future. Of course, you're past 40,Joe. But if you want to feel young, consider Nathan Allen,of Georgia. He was born January 19th 1903,11 months before the Wrights flew at Kitty Hawk. Older than the Model T or the Silver Ghost. He was an adult before the discovery of antibiotics...or transistors. He was past retirement age when man walked on the Moon. He died in 1994 the day before he would have turned 91. ===>AND HIS MOTHER IS STILL ALIVE.<== • d******o@n*****.*******l.com 18/06/2000 00:00:000 UTC On 13 Jun 2000 06:08:14 GMT, h*****l@**.com (HADSIL) wrote: >On June 10, 2000 I, Jerry Katz, The Forumites' Forumite, Dark Lord of Cosmic >Encounter, Ravager of the Log Book, Founder of the Gaming Club, turned 30 years >old! >I made myself feel young by going to Disney World/Epcot for the very first >time. >Jerry Well, Jerry, you may make me feel old, but perhaps by not so much as you would have wished. There's no way the Trantor of PRELUDE was the one envisioned in FOUNDATION. I want the sequels the Asimov of 1949 would have written!! • **@***.com 22/06/2000 00:00:000 UTC Perrianne Lurie (b********r@p*******e.com) wrote: : On 13 Jun 2000 06:08:14 GMT, h*****l@**.com (HADSIL) wrote: : : >On June 10, 2000 I, Jerry Katz, The Forumites' Forumite, Dark Lord of Cosmic : >Encounter, Ravager of the Log Book, Founder of the Gaming Club, turned 30 years : >old! : : If you think that's scary, Jessie Frenkel is graduating from high : school this year.
