     Apologies if I posted this before . . .

     Bill Griffith moved to CT from San Francisco a few years back. Since
     then

     The "Zippy the Pinhead" strip has been less absurdist and more
     observant.

     Zippy has been spending a lot of time wandering the commercial
     landscape,

     talking with advertising logos like Big Boy and . . . wheee! . . . The

     Long Island Duck.

     www.zippythepinhead.com also has some intresting essays by Griffith,

     including one where he describes his boyhood in Levittown; his next-door

     neighbor was SF artist Ed Emshwiller. "Emsh" used the Griffith family as

     models.
