Sagan is spinning in his orbit, or whatever. The actor who plays Agent Smith in the Matrix movies is also playing Elrond in the Lord of the Rings movie(s). I was watching that movie about Gilbert and Sullivan's production of "The Mikado" and was amused to discover that the album title "Short, Sharp, Shocked" derives from said musical, which I had never seen. Other fundraising favorites: Timothy Ferris' pretty good astronomy shows, and an endless supply of Overpaid Expert Blathers Endlessly In Front of Tidily Dressed Audiance shows. These can be about Relationships, Money ("The Courage To Be Rich" comes to mind), or whatever Deeprak Chopra is into at the moment, like Quantum Self Esteem or Superstring Love Theory. Psigh!
