ALT.SF4M Futurama • s******j@e***.**o.com 21/03/2001 06:25:32 UTC Man . . . this show is really hitting it's stride. A recent episode switched between current day (the year 3000) where Fry is trying to locate a lucky seven leafed clover, and the 20th Century, where we see Fry and his older brother engaging in bitter sibling rivalry. Fry discovers that his brother eventually stole his identity after he'd disappeared, and fulfilled all his extravagant plans. Or so it seems. -- +-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-+ SeJ@ay-oh-el-dot-com ~ stefanj@eye-oh-dot-com http://www.io.com/~stefanj/ CHARGES APPLIED FOR UNSOLICITED COMMERCIAL EMAIL! • s******j@e***.**o.com 24/03/2001 05:28:18 UTC On Wed, 21 Mar 2001, Perrianne Lurie wrote: >I love this show! Great ambiguous SF message, trippy music video sequence from an instrument that could have dropped out of a Bester novel, and a Fantastic Voyage homage too. I find myself wishing there was a Futurama comic, so I could write for it. I think the "Fry gets parasites" episode was in 2001, but I could be mistaken. I'll have to check the website... Perrianne Lurie "Alas! I'll have to check the website... If there's any useful information on the web site, I couldn't find it. All I got was an animated graphic. Perrianne Lurie "Alas! I was thinking that Fry could really have used that clover on New Year's Eve when he got frozen, but I then realized that getting frozen was the best thing that ever happened to him. He always wanted to work in space with a sexy alien woman and have a robot best friend: one might say that the clover was bringing him good luck in the most expedient "Teela Brown"-fashion.
