ALT.SF4M new author, new book • daSquid 27/06/2002 13:28:52 UTC Don't mean to step on anyone's toes, being new to the forum and making a post like this. Read a new book by a new author, could not put it down! Been reading SF from the 60's, everybody under the sun. Jack Vance is my top favorite, too many others on my list to list. This guy's style is good, and believable. If you've had your fill of "almost" fairy-tale SF and want something with more nuts & bolts to it, I invite you tor try this. "Interludes at an Oasis" by Merv Miller. Publisher is PublishAmerica, www.publishamerica.com. Tab through to their SciFi section and go from there. Or go to Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble for a cheaper price. Have not seen it in the book stores, but have no idea how long a new author takes to struggle up through the self-help pulps and Oprah book club litter. Enjoy, DaSquid.
