Jeff Block was a [[Forumite]] and the original founder of [[Animated Perspectives]], the [[Stony Brook University]] anime club. Jeff first began the practice of showing anime on campus in the [[Forum]] prior to 1992 on Friday nights (the showings were called Japanimation with Jeff). Pleased with the following the anime nights received, Jeff, along with a few other Forumites, formed an officially campus-recognized anime club, which became Animated Perspectives in the spring of 1993. Jeff graduated that same semester, leaving the newly born club in the hands of his friends Bill and Jason as well as Clark and Eugene Cheng where it has since evolved into its present form. | |||
