It was noticed that Tank Top, a car owned by Dr. Robert Downes, had an anomalously fast idle. So fast was it, that Dr. Downes contended that it would be possible to drive the car from the outside, working the steering wheel by reaching in through an open window.

The experimental test of this hypothesis resulted in the complete circumnavigation of Roth Pond by Tank Top, carrying perhaps half a dozen asshole Forumites, none of them inside the vehicle.
